Current COVID-19 Guidelines

Apr 30, 2021

While the world is busy adjusting to the latest COVID-19 updates, which – let’s face it – seem to change every week, the Triangle LGBTQ Group’s organizers have been working hard behind the scenes to come up with creative ways for our members to stay connected.

With tens of thousands of vaccinations being given out all across the US, we are slowly but surely coming out of the fog that was 2020. As we approach the summer and fall months, there will be many more social and active events happening. Hopefully, folks will be feeling a little more comfortable patronizing restaurants, bars, and even outdoor events. However, local and national consensus is, we are still not out of the woods yet. For those unvaccinated, getting vaccinated, keeping 6 feet apart, and wearing a protective mask is still an effective way to aid on the side of caution, and to help our nation move forward.

For those who are vaccinated, the rules are more flexible:

Because many in the LGBTQ+ community have underlying health conditions, while some others are taking care of at-risk family members, the organizing team encourages facilitators and participants of Triangle LGBTQ Group’s events to follow these current guidelines.

If your health conditions permit getting vaccinated and you haven’t been vaccinated yet, we hope it’s on your to-do list!
